The Committee

The Committee

Behind the scenes of TDARC are a group of members who form the Committee. These individuals are here to help promote, manage and administrate the Club, as well as help support new and current members.

Committee Members

The Committee members are:

Chair:

Mike Coles (M0CIE).

Treasurer:

Mike Coles (M0CIE).

Secretary:

David Vickers (G7BEH). Licenced in the mid-80's, David still holds his original callsign but had to hand back the 2E0ACW callsign that he had held after achieving his 5wpm test [back in the day!]. To be fair, he still struggles with CW but at least it's now up to 12wpm and makes regular contacts using it. Interested in QRP, SOTA / POTA and building 'stuff', David has built a QO-100 system, several kits, and now also operates on 10GHz.

Events Manager:

Ian Bontoft (G4ELW). Ian does a lot more that 'events management'! He's often the glue that keeps the Club together and when he's not working on some aspect of the Club (most recently trying to set up the Club PC with the FT991a), he's usually to be found on the bands attempting to complete another DXCC...

Committee Members:

Daimon Tilley (G4USI). An avid QRP-er and constructor, Daimon has won awards for his well engineering and meticulously crafted radios. He also writes for RadCom and often provides reviews on radio equipment to Practical Wireless.

Andrew Walrond (M0LHC). When he's not busy working on building his dream home, Andrew was last seen learning CW. Unlike other members in the Club, Andrew likes power. Not the political kind, but QRO - in that respect he's the antithesis of David and Daimon!
